October is a symphony of permanence and change.
- Bonaro W. Overstreet
Now that summer has come to a close (officially, though not apparent in this heat wave!) it's time for us to gather, spend time with family and friends, and reflect and correct, as I like to say. October is the best time to do all of those things! And this October we've got so much to gather for... squash is now in season, a few weddings, a baby announcement, a few new career moves, and many other big things happening in the lives of our Lakewood Women's Club members.
Come gather with us and share these special moments and more at our fall social this month. Evites and announcements will be going out to members this week with details - feel free to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org for an invite if you are not a member - the more the merrier!
Thank you to all our members, friends, sponsors and nominees who made the 3rd Annual Women Honoring Women such a great event. Congratulations to our Community Leader Winner Heidi Murray, our Business Leader Winner Ines Rehner and our Scholarship Winner Valentina Monteiro. Miss Monteiro wrote in her thank you to LWC, "I just want to say one more time thank you so much for this opportunity and the experience I had to be in the event. I never experienced something like that, and it truly inspired me to see so many women supporting each other. It make me feel very special! Appreciate all you guys have done for me, and all the caring and attentive environment I was welcomed to! Hope to one day be a part of the Women’s Club as well!"
We also honored our charitable recipient Gigi's Playhouse and announced our new recipient for the next two years: Cleveland Diaper Drive.
Also a special shout out to all of our sponsors. We couldn't have put on this event without you.
Join us for the next General Meeting of the Women's Club of Lakewood.
“It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want—oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!”
― Mark Twain
